Studies Conducted to Transform Koson District into a Corruption-Free Territory

A working group led by the Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency is conducting studies to transform Koson District of Kashkadarya Region into a Corruption-Free Territory.

The purpose of the studies is to ensure the implementation of the tasks and instructions set by the President of state, in particular, the implementation of specific measures to digitalize areas with a high level of corruption and eliminate bureaucratic procedures.

The working group studied the state of work to prevent corruption in healthcare institutions of the district, and also considered measures to eliminate the risks of corruption in several areas, including the provision of free and paid medical services, provision of medical equipment and medicines, and the selection of medical personnel.

On this occasion, the working group met with the population and listened to citizens’ attitudes towards the medical services provided.

Akmal Burkhonov, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, criticized the ineffectiveness of work to prevent corruption in medical institutions, shortcomings in the formation of an irreconcilable attitude towards corruption among medical workers and the population.

Responsible persons have been given the necessary instructions to eliminate the identified shortcomings and prevent cases of corruption in the provision of medical services.
