Violations identified in 9 public procurement procedures worth UZS 16.4 billion
The Anti-Corruption Agency identified violations of legislation in 9 public procurement procedures with a total value of UZS 16.4 billion.
In particular:
in public procurement procedures worth UZS 9.4 billion conducted by LLC “Andijanpetro”;
as well as in public procurement procedures worth UZS 654.2 million conducted by JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex,
the participation of affiliated persons was allowed in violation of a number of requirements of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Public Procurement.”
In addition, violations of sectoral legislation and cases of restriction of competition among participants during the evaluation process were identified in public procurement procedures conducted by:
the Center for Science Olympiads — worth UZS 2.1 billion;
LLC “Bekobod Catering Complex” — worth UZS 1.6 billion;
the Khorezm Specialized Boarding School of Arts — worth UZS 1.1 billion;
Tashkent City Clinical Hospital No. 7 — worth UZS 396.5 million;
the Academic Lyceum of Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute — worth UZS 308.59 million;
JSC “Uztransgaz” — worth UZS 221.1 million;
Specialized State Boarding School No. 15 of Izboskan district — worth UZS 100 million.
Based on the violations identified, submissions issued by the Agency ensured the cancellation of procurement commission protocols on determining the winning bidders, thereby preventing the unlawful conduct of public procurement procedures.
Documents collected during the study and analysis process have been forwarded to law enforcement authorities for legal action.
