On February 27, a meeting was held of Umida Tukhtasheva, Deputy Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan, with Frank Tansey, representative of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, USA. The meeting aimed at discussing promising areas of cooperation in combating corruption.

The US guest was given information on the activities of the Agency, the process of introduction of a compliance control system, the ongoing work to ensure the openness of the activities of government agencies and organizations, the implementation of international standards into the national legislation. During the discussions, representatives of the Agency put forward a proposal for cooperation in the organization of trainings (courses, workshops) for employees of government agencies involved in combating corruption.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in cooperation in the proposed areas.
