Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan ‘On measures to reduce mandatory requirements, simplify licensing and permitting procedures in the field of entrepreneurship’ (No. DP-8, January 9, 2024)
From March 1, 2024:
22 types of licensed activities and permitting documents will be cancelled.
Including:
- legal entities in case of voluntary payment within 15 days of 50 percent of the amount of the fine imposed on them for committing offenses in licensing, permitting and notification procedures, or within 30 days 70 percent of the fine, are exempt from paying the remaining part of the fine;
- in the process of issuing a license or permitting document, a procedure is being introduced to remotely assess the compliance of applicants with the requirements and conditions of licenses and permitting documents using video communications;
- a business entity is allowed to indicate the place of residence of the founder as a postal address during its state registration or re-registration.
The procedure for reserving funds in the Safe Tourism Fund in the equivalent of 15,000 USD for the implementation of tourism activities in outbound tourism is canceled by introducing a procedure for compulsory risk insurance for tour operators in case of emergency situations.
From 1 March 2024 to 1 January 2025, a special Business Without a License regime will be introduced as a legal experiment, defining a transition and adaptation period of up to three months for starting activities to operate X-ray equipment and carry out veterinary laboratory and diagnostic work.
