Memorandum of Understanding Signed with the Independent Anti-Corruption Authority of Mongolia

A bilateral meeting was held between Akmal Burkhanov, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Zandraa Dashdavaa, Director of the Independent Authority Against Corruption of Mongolia.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views in detail on pressing issues related to the formation and implementation of state anti-corruption policy. The prospects for further expansion of bilateral cooperation in this field were also thoroughly discussed.

It was noted that since 2023, the Government of Mongolia has been implementing comprehensive reforms aimed at combating corruption, exposing corrupt practices, returning officials who have illegally left the country, and further enhancing transparency in public administration.

In particular, within the framework of the “Glass Operation”, all information related to mining licenses, public procurement, and land allocation has been fully digitalized and made publicly accessible. In addition, the introduction of the “E-Mongolia” electronic platform has enabled more than 1,000 public services to be digitized, significantly simplifying service delivery for citizens.

During the discussions, these reforms were recognized as an important component of a systemic approach aimed at increasing transparency in public administration, minimizing the human factor, and proactively preventing corruption risks.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, the two agencies signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of anti-corruption and corruption prevention.

Both sides emphasized that further strengthening the legal and practical framework of cooperation is mutually beneficial and effective.

It was also agreed to implement a series of joint activities in the near future based on the discussed areas of cooperation.
