Integrity and Accountability Become Top Priorities in Public Service

The Agency for Management Effectiveness under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a practical workshop focused on further improving the system for corruption prevention and detection.

During the workshop, officials from the Anti-Corruption Agency provided detailed insights into the strategic shifts, innovative approaches, and priority goals currently being implemented in the field.

In particular, it was emphasized that strict adherence to codes of conduct by public servants and the cultivation of an environment of integrity within organizations are crucial factors in preventing corruption.

In this regard, special emphasis was placed on the ongoing systematic efforts to enhance the activities of Ethics Commissions, specifically by increasing their independence and overall influence.

The workshop highlighted that strengthening control measures alone is insufficient for effective anti-corruption efforts. Participants exchanged views on the necessity of digitalizing public services, reducing the human factor, and establishing robust public oversight.
